我的訓練來自社區健康、健康行為和心理學。我目前的研究興趣主要為兩條線：青少年健康和性病傳染。在青少年健康方面，我和團隊主要使用台灣收集的長期資料庫，廣泛的討論青少年的心理健康、肥胖、危險行為等問題,以生命歷程的架構來探討青少年早期發生的逆境因素（包括行為與環境）如何在之後的階段出現影響；我們也自己收案，討論歧視和社會網絡的關係。另外一條線，我在南台灣的社區收案，去瞭解男同性行為者的性病傳播和社會網絡的關係。
