Brief Biography
Prof. Hu's specialty is health behavior and health promotion. She is the earliest public health scholar in Taiwan who continues to invest in healthy city projects and is also a senior actor and pioneer in the field of community health promotion in this country. The healthy city project she promoted in Tainan city is particularly well-known. With Professor Hu's guidance and help, the concept of healthy city has been adopted in many counties and cities in Taiwan and has thus won many international innovation awards. Also, Professor Hu's health promotion expertise focuses on research related to tobacco and alcohol prevention, healthy eating, and physical activity. In recent years, she has also engaged in studies on the health of the elderly, including age-friendly cities, active aging, and the impact of retirement planning on elder's health.
